This villa sleeps up to 6 guests in ample sized rooms and has been tastefully furnished with influences from Morroco and Indonesia giving it an luxurious, exotic feel. It has been carefully restored to a very high standard using local traditional stone and wood for its floors and walls. It is set on one level and is very spacious being 200 square meters in size and thanks to the original solid stone walls keeps cool in summer and warm during winter. There is a private terrace with sunbeds, a bbq and seabreeze dining area as well as a shared pool area that includes a 10 meter lap pool, jet pool, sun longers, gas BBQ, kitchen, dining and chill out entertaining- suite with WIFI internet connection. All of this is set amongst mature gardens which include fruit trees & bushes such as Mango, Banana, Guava & Lime (a bonus if you are here at the right season!) on an estate of 30,000 meters of land with spectacular sea and mountain views.

There are a number of friendly farm animals, such as free range hens that deliver fresh eggs for breakfast every morning and the on-site donkey, who happily provides rides for children. There are also a variety of organic garden produce growing inthe gardens such as potatoes, tomatoes and basil, all of which guests are welcome to help themselves to during their stay!

For our younger guests there is a play park, trampoline, ping-pong table, bikes all on site to keep them entertained.

This Eco Villa has impeccable green credentials and is efficiently powered by 30 solar panels and 2 wind turbines, a fantastic example of renewable energy using the largest and most upto date system in Lanzarote a unique example of sustainable living and we ask guests to be aware of and consider their energy consumption during their stay!

Nearby attractions include Jameos del Agua, Cactus Garden, Mirador del Rio, Green Caves and the Valley of a Thousand Palms only 10 minutes away where there is a Saturday morning local craft market. The village of Arrieta boasts one of the best family beaches on the island which has a tapas beach bar and restaurant, toilets and shower facilities. This is a stunning location to enjoy the unusual black sands and the scenic mountain landscape of rural Lanzarote. The historic village of Teguise, where you can take a stroll through the meandering lanes and watch local artists at work or visit the Sunday Market, all this is only a 15 minute drive. The island?s capital is 30 minutes drive, where the airport is located. The island's only 18 hole golf course, situated in Costa Teguise, is only a 15 minute drive away.

As this is an Eco property we encourage our guests to be aware of the electric they are consuming so items such as Iron, TV, Microwave etc...are not supplied as standard but can be made available on request.

WiFi connection is available within the Eco Village.

Each property at Finca de Arrieta is individual and detached they have their own parking area, terrase, kitchens etc..

The pool area is near to the Eco Yurt and is stone walled and gated. The pool is solar heated and is coved at night. The estate has the largest renewable energy system on Lanzarote and it runs efficiently year round on wind and solar (You are never without electric!).

Guests at Finca Arrieta can enjoy various extras such as evening meals cooked for you at the Finca, excursion to the local farmers market, baby sitting, aromatherapy massage and body board and surf trips and lessons, please enquire about organising these extras in advance.

I ask for payment in euros, 30% on booking & the rest a month before arrival. You can pay by bank transfer or by Visa/Master card.

We stayed at the eco villa at Finca de Arrieta with our 9-year old twins. What a wonderful family holiday we had-- our kids had so much fun bouncing on the trampoline, swimming at the beach, exploring the sites and just hanging out, eating the home-grown eggs and papaya. I can't say enough about how welcome we were made to feel by Michelle and Tila and their kids. They provided lots of great information about what to see and do during our time there, where to eat, and which local wines to take home. It was an incredible opportunity to learn about life in another country, meet some great people, and relax. We count our week there as one of our best family holidays and look forward to returning one day!

It was lovely to leave behind a frozen UK in February and spend a week at the Finca de Arrieta. Our son was in toddler heaven, enjoying the outdoor space and menagerie of animals at the Finca and gorgeous beaches nearby. Michelle and Tila are wonderful hosts, and we would love to come back and stay in another of their properties. All in all a wonderul holiday and we have brought back some great memories.
